Regular readers of the TDD Times will no doubt recognize the name S. Reichelt & Co. Several months back we did a story on how Turcotte Data & Designs created their logo and website (reicheltpca.com).
We can't take all the credit, but owner Shannon Reichelt, CPA has been growing by leaps and bounds! So much so, that she has opened another firm in Greenfield, Massachusetts. Located at 19 Church Street, the Greenfield location services clients throughout Franklin County.
S. Reichelt & Co., LLC has grown from a one person business to include the new Greenfield location, a new Easthampton location at 165A Northampton St. and has added three additional full-time employees. One employee just happens to be her husband Bill Reichelt, CPA/ABV. Bill brings over 35 years of accounting experience with him.
Part of the expansion of S. Reichelt & Co. included improving their pretty much non-existent technology infrastructure. The firm had been operating on Shannon's sole laptop, obviously nowhere near enough resources for 4 full-time employees and two very busy locations. TDD stepped in to help them plan and implement what turned out to be a very large IT project. New network servers were placed at both locations as well SonicWALL Unified Threat Management (UTM) devices to create the backbone of their network infrastructure. With a secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) linking the two buildings they are able to share data and applications and reduce redundant data entry. The SonicWALL devices also allow them to work from home, which will become very important come this busy tax season.
