Most people by now have heard of Twitter, the social networking phenomenon that has millions of people staring at their cell phones and computers, sending messages back and forth.
Twitter has legitimate business uses, not the least of which is networking with other business professionals.
A professional group of women have realized the power of Twitter and organized themselves under the “TwitterQueens” moniker.
TwitterQueens, Inc. was formed to fill a void that exists in social media events and conferences. With the mission statement of empowering women in the use of emerging social media techniques, TwitterQueens hopes to open up the valuable resources available to professional women in this venue. We reach out with camaraderie, generosity and experience to bring women who would like to better utilize social media to their advantage." said Leslie Lambert, Co-Founder of TwitterQueens, Inc. "We are excited to launch our business model with an intimate training camp in New York City on June 27, 2009. Limited to 60 participants, this camp is guaranteed to be informational, interesting, and fun. TwitterQueens, Inc is very excited that Jason Turcotte sponsored their Website Makeover contest, which is the kick off event of our camp." Lambert added.
"I'm flattered and honored to be part of the first TwitterQueens event!" said Jason Turcotte, President of Turcotte Data & Designs, "It should be a great time and I look forward to helping and learning from the women at this event."
