BNI (Business Networking International) bases their organization on the thought that "givers gain" and the more you work for your fellow members, the more you will reap in return.
The Mill River Chapter of BNI truly embraced that philosophy on Friday, September 14th when 5 members of that chapter were awarded with the "Givers Gain Award" and two additional members receiving honorable mentions. The award, which is presented by the Executive Director of BNI Western Massachusetts Don Boisvert, is in recognition of BNI members that truly embrace and follow the principals of BNI.
Members receiving the award were Jason Turcotte of Turcotte Data & Designs, Aliina Laine of Aliina Laine Financial Services, Candy Laflam of Pampered Pet Sitting, Dean Acheson of Acheson Company and Molly Monet-Viera, an independent distributor of Monavie. Receiving honorable mentions were Peggy Hoime of Wake Up! Coaching and Dick Larson of the Center for Well Being.
In presenting the awards Don Boisvert had this to say, "These seven people in this chapter certainly manifest the fundamental BNI philosophy of Givers Gain, for they have not only generated 256 referrals for others since January 1st, but have also personally received 162 business referrals. With a chapter close out rate of over 50%, that represents real income coming back to the members who do give the most."
BNI is a business referral organization that focuses on growing member's businesses and increasing their financial bottom line by exchanging qualified referrals. Business professionals are welcome to visit the chapter which meets every Friday at 7:00AM at the Florence Civic Center on Park Street in Florence.
