The long arm of the law is typically viewed as a group of men and women that enforce the rules and may not be known for being the types of people that care… especially when handing your that speeding ticket when you're positive you were only going a little faster than the posted speed limit.

For over 25 years, the officers of the Southampton, MA Police Department have been trying to give back to their community, to show their "softer side" through the means of the Southampton Police Association.

The Southampton Police Association evolved from an organization that sponsored local high school basketball tournaments to sponsoring a variety of Southampton Youth Athletic Association (SYAA) sports such as baseball, basketball, softball and soccer as well as making donations to a variety of local and national charities. The SPA is an organization that believes in giving back to the community that they protect and serve, helping to improve the quality of life of the youth and residents of Southampton.

"I felt this was a great effort by the men and women of the Southampton Police Association and reached out to them to see how I could help." said Jason Turcotte, President of Turcotte Data & Designs, a technology and design solutions company. Their new website will allow the SPA to communicate to the public, what organizations they contribute to as well as how they raise the funds they donate.
