Most people by now have heard of Twitter, the social networking phenomenon that has millions of people staring at their cell phones and computers, sending messages back and forth.
Twitter has legitimate business uses, not the least of which is networking with other business professionals.
A professional group of women have realized the power of Twitter and organized themselves under the “TwitterQueens” moniker.
I was recently asked this by someone doing a research project.
Well, here’s my take…
“Web 2.0” focuses on more interactive, web-driven (cloud based) applications and functions. That doesn’t mean that user-centered design is not part of the equation, but “fancy web sites” have been around for quite some time.

Yesterday I spent the day at a great event in Holyoke, MA called PodCamp Western Mass. The event was billed as a social media “unconference”. It was a great experience with a cool free-flowing style emphasizing a couple great rules.
